Fundraising for GB Paralympic Team

Carbon Energy are proud to have sponsored Tash Furness in her 2011 "Ride Across Britain" to raise money for the GB Paralympic Team. Carbon Energy bought a road bike and jersey so she could take part in this gruelling test of endurance - 960 miles in 8 days - which had 700 riders taking part. Having not liked riding a bike in her youth she decided to give this a go 9 months before the event. During the event she was involved in one multiple pile up in the foggy mountains of Scotland and came near to physical exhaustion on the section of Bath to Okehampton battling through 30mph gusts of headwind for a lot of the day. She raised in excess of £2,000 for the Paralympics.

Let us hope that the GB Paralympic Team have a very successful games and win many medals.
